Latest Updates

My apologies
once again with regards to my infrequent updates this month. I have been very busy mainly with a regular gig I got designing dressup pages for Heavy.com (I'll link you up as soon as they make them public), and I'm filming demos to be presented to stations as a possible show for cable. That's right. You read that correctly. A possible show for fucking cable. I'll tell you what, if I ever get on tv with a show, all fucking hell is gong to break loose. But in the meantime you have to be a bit more patient with my updates.

So here's a page of hate mail from a freakin' 22 year old girl (writes like a 13 yr old) from the UK. No real hate, just an example of how much religion can stunt one's intellectual growth. And her last letter on this page about how 'following the Ten Commandments isn't something God's as concerned about any more like he was back in the day' fucking floored me. You have to see for yourself.

And that reminds me, the review for Jesus Camp will be up this weekend.

I went to the film all dressed up with a camera crew and everything, and it was also the premier of American Hardcore too! So we got some great footage of me arguing with punks, interviewing ticket buyers and giving everyone an overall good time with my Jesus Dressup fliers. Stay tuned for all of that. It'll be worth it.

That all said, I thank you for continuing to check in for updates and remaining a reader of the site. Even my own brother called me this morning to make sure my lack of updates wasn't a result of me being 'knocked-off' at that movie appearance.

Here's your dang update, Rick!

Love, your brother Bob.

if you believe in satan, how can you not believe in Christ

just curious....if you believe in satan, how can you not believe in Christ? Satan, as most of us know, is a fallen angel. Therefore, you are contradicting what you say. please explain your point of view. I am only curious. nothing more. But i do want you to know, whether you believe or not, i will be praying for you. Because i do believe in Christ. Have a good day...and i hope to hear from you soon. I enjoy hearing all points of view.

Please explain why you think I believe in Satan.

you kinda look like him

well....i know this sounds weird, but you kinda look like him, that is, saying that we know what he looks like. you know, the streotyipical "satan".....and your profile. i first found your myspace profile after finding the haloween jesus dressup thing.....if i'm wrong, and you dont believe in satan, what is it? what do you believe in? what do you do? do you have any God or thing that you pray to and/or worship? any goals? anyway, thanks for replying to my message. and i hope to hear from you again. i believe in God and Jesus, yes, but i am still curious as to what else may be out there. if that is possible.

I'm an atheist and I have no belief in Satan what-so-ever. He is a made up boogieman, and I dress up like him because I think it's funny. It's amusing that the guy who makes and sells Jesus Dressup is Satan.

My goal? To continue to progress as an artist as I try to be as honest as possible with myself, and everyone else.

Ashley, now I have a question for you. I don't understand how you can have any kind of heaven at all while people you love are burning in hell. In fact, I don't see how you could enjoy a paradise while even one single person is suffering forevermore.

Please answer this question for me, because those of us who don't believe in heaven and hell think that you believers must have cold, vindictive hearts to be able to forget the love you have for other people in exchange for your heaven.

Things are great over here! I love Myspace! Meeting new people all over the place!

[Hell] its a place that is no different than earth....there is pain and suffering, grief, sadness, anger

well, as a christian, our belief that there is no "burning in hell....as far as we know, hell is just a place where none believers go, out of the sight of God....its a place that is no different than earth....there is pain and suffering, grief, sadness, anger....but when Jesus died on the cross, he gave us a choice....to believe or not to believe....his blood paid for our sins, so when we repent and turn our life over to God, we will be forgivin....no sin is unforgivable, and each and everyone of us is a child of God....wich means EVERYONE is forgivable....now if we choose not to believe, thats is our choice...therefore resulting in hell...its not a matter of being perfect, never saying a bad word, not doing drugs, whatever.....God of course, loves it when we try our best to do his will and whatnot.....but in the end, its all about whether or not we believe that God is the father, that Jesus is his son, that jesus died on the cross and shed his blood for our sins....thats pretty much all you have to do....its hard to understand fully, and its good that you have questions....but hell is not raging seas of fire with little red dudes poking you with pitch forks....its just a dark place much like earth, where there will be eternal suffering and sadness....heaven on the other hand, will be the exact oposite....in heaven there are no tears or fears,no grief or pain,no anger...nothing bad.....and in the end, its all about choices......

i love myspace too...i think its great :P have a good day!

So If I get what you're saying it's that hell is an extended earth life? There's darkness and pain and junk, but there's also pleasure, joy and hope too? That doesn't sound bad at all. I wish someone would have described hell to me like that before. Now I'm not so terrified of the damned place! I always wanted this life to be longer with less rules and less Christians! haha... Just jokin', sort of.

In fact, I'd say that I would prefer that instead of a place without any pain or sadness like heaven. It's the times when I feel pain or sadness that I learn and grow as a man. And to tell you the truth, I really don't mind feeling sad. When I am alone and missing the ones I love I feel sad, but the sadness is sorta sweet, you know? It's a good feeling because I'm remembering how special they are to me, and when I see them again I appreciate them that much more. Hear what I'm saying? I think that I will quite enjoy hell, free of the dictatorship of God, where we can choose to do as we wish without all the sacrificing of blood for God all the time! And all His silly demands that aren't sins at all, like using His name in vein, carving graven images, remembering the Sabbath day, and those dumb first 5 Commandments that aren't really wrong things in any way.

Tell me if I'm understanding you about hell being no suffering, because I'm very interested in it if that's so.

the only happiness you get in hell is that by doing things that please you, such as things like partying, drinking, and whatever else u enjoy doing that is a sin in Gods eyes

well you have it right...sort of....the only happiness you get in hell is that by doing things that please you, such as things like partying, drinking, and whatever else u enjoy doing that is a sin in Gods eyes....and we dont have to remember the sabbeth day the same way we did back in the day. like how we aren't supposed to work and all that stuff....its not like that anymore....and neither are the 10 comandments and "rules"...those were writtin in the old testiment. we follow much of the same rules and whatnot, but nothing like we did in the first churches. most of the rules that God expects us to follow now are simple and easy...most of wich just ask us to be kind, and not do things that would cause us to hurt ourselves and/or others. like lying, steling,or even murder and rape. most of us follow these rules anyway because they are law. so its really not all that hard anyway unless youre a criminal in jail for the murder and rape of a 10 year old girl or something. and i know that you wont be in jail for anything of that sort.

all God really asks, is that you beleive in him and that his son died on the cross, as well as be kind to others and yourself. it doesnt matter how much you love and believe and follow his rules, we are all going to be sinners anyway. to God, lying is just a bad a sin as murder. of course he knows that one is way worse than the other, but all he means is that no sin is unforgivable and that we are all sinners and we will be until the day we die. it doesnt matter who you are or where u came from, we are all sinners. but we can also all be forgivin. but it is your choice. make the right decision. im hoping you will. take care and ill speak to you soon

Wow, you're making hell sound fantastic and heaven sound like a silly waste of everyone's time where all the people waste their time just worrying about God's feelings.

So you're saying that hell is where I still get to do all the things that please me, like continue doing my art (carving graven images)? I'll be able to love my family and friends there, get them gifts, do nice things for people, along with partying and playing checkers and dancing with them, and all of that? Christ, I don't understand why you would even want to go to heaven with all those things.

Ashley, you're really sounding like you're just making all of this up to whatever sounds nice for you, and not really following the words God wrote in his book. Are you allowed to do that? Is there a verse in the bible I missed where God allows you to change his rules? I'm starting to wonder if you're even the person I should be consulting on these matters, because this is my eternal afterlife we're talking about here. I'd hate it if you screwed that all up for me because of you saying we're not supposed to follow all His Commandments anymore.

Please show me the verse in the bible where God recants His first 4 Commandments and I'll relax a bit. Because right now you seem to be trying to mislead me with lies and half-truths. I must admit Ashley, you hiding behind that photograph of a crucified Jesus is far more frightening than me in my devil suit.

You make hell seem so inviting. I pray that you have answers to these issues I've brought up. I'd hate to think how betrayed I'd feel if you did in fact turn out to be working for Satan.
